1. Back Ground Of The Organization:

Sanag Enviorment Conservative and Devoloment Organization ( SECDO) is based in westren Part of Sanaga region.

The organization was formed by a group of Sanag Region intelectuals, prominent community,Elders, and members from women groups in 2005.

The aim that motivated the formation of this organization was and still is to identify the essential community needs,then find out ways and mean to adress those needs to attain these goals.
SECDO, as a community based organization commited to be accountable and transparent to the communities.
SECDO Has worked with the international organization through the community.

2:VISSION:

SECDO Vision is strive to fight against poverty, ignorance and human suffering facing the poor sections of the Somalia Community in general, Particularly in enviorment

2.2: MISSION STATEMENT:

SECDO serves for poor individuals and families in Somalia in general, and in Sanaag Region in particular. Drawing strength from partner organizations, donors, government institutions and individuals, SECDO will facilitate positive change through interventions in livestock development, enviorment,rural poverty alleviations. Trainings to enable them for self-sufficiency, providing income and economic opportunities and influencing policy decisions at all levels.

2.3:CORE VALUES

Commitment : Serving effectively and efficiently to enviorment problems Trust; promoting accountability and trust among our donors to the Communities . we challenge ourselves in creating an innovative and better ways to fight against any enviorment degradation such as Erosion,Pollution etc.

And also SECDO is actively serve the local communities in Sanaag region particularly in the Western part of the region, which is far and remote where development activities and humanitarian involvements are totally absent since then the organization had been engaged in this field.

E XPERIENCE OF THE ORGANIZATION

SECDO had mandated to rehabilitate the denude ecosystem. the organization had the capability to fulfill such an activity through their previous experience in human resource concepts, because SECDO organization has been trained and had the experienced such and activities and implemented a number of land reclamation projects ..

Objectives

SECDO is to revived The fine pasture of sanag province where millions of livestock and wild life species used to thrive in which now become desolated wasteland by natural cause such as successive droughts culminated with man made causes such as over grazing ,over rest burning large tracts of acacia forest for the purpose of producing charcoal to make the ecosystem of the pastures unsustainable SECDO n.g.o wants to rehabilitate the degraded ecosystem through the application of modern land resource management techniques such as bounding , terracing, trampling and seeding some of Sudan grass for animal feeding diversion of the flood water from gullies/grazing locations and trained number of the area pastoralisties to those principle activities.

SECDO JOB DISCRIPTION

•  BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The board of directors is the highest decision taking organ of SECDO and consists of five members (3 women and 2 Men)

Namely:

•  The chair person

•  Deputy chair person

•  members (3)

•  The Board meets in an ordinary meetings two times a year .

•  The Board can meet in an extra ordinary meeting whenever requested by three members of the board and the excutive director.

•  The Board reviews reports of implemented and approves planned activities.

•  The Board nominates anonomously the Excutive director of the organization and have the authority to dismiss him/her on majority vote.

•  The Board advocates for the overall promotion of the organisation and fund raising

•  EXCUTIVE DIRECTOR

The excutive Director is responsible for the overall management of day

to day activities of the organization

•  The excutive director represents the organization infront of the law,government,financial institutions,donors and international partners.

•  The excutive director,under his/her responsibility can delegate his authority to other or any member of the Board of Directors.

•  COORDINATOR AND COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIP

•  The coordinator connects and respnsible for overall coordinating of NGO departments,community, financing partners and the government.

•  The coordinator is directly responsible for the safety of international and local staff.

•  He/she ensures the safety of NGO and partner properties.

•  He/she completes deals and contracts with community and government.

•  He/she is responsible for recruiment of contracted labours for a certain project/projects.

•  He/she ensures to smoothen,promote or establish better relationship with societies,elders and all wakes of intended beneficiaries.

•  DIRECTOR FINANCE/ADMIN

 

•  The director of finance and administration of the organization is legally responsible for overall management of organizational finance and administration.

•  He/she is responsible for all financial accounts.

•  He/she prepares organizational budget on basis of project by project accounts.

•  He/she prepares all financial transactions,payrolls,wages and payment.

•  He/she is responsible for ensuring personnel duties, office hours and daily activities.

•  He/she performs procrument of office needs and purchases approved by excutive director.
